7 Universal lessons you should know

Uncomfortable lessons that will widen your perspective

1. Do not trust what people say, trust what they do

Today's letter is kind of different.

I am someone very pragmatic and grounded on reality.

I dislike delusion and embrace reality.

Therefore today's letter will be full of bittersweet truth.

Let's start.

Anyone can make you promises but very few can follow through with action.

You know this as well.

The problem is - few actually put this into practice.

When someone makes you a promise of a better opportunity - you must not drool with imagination how much that will change your life.

You must stay practical and grounded.

Because it is yet to become reality.

Even if it is to become reality - there's a high chance the deal you made can be revoked.

Promises are nothing. What truly matters in life is following through.

So many empires have been broken down because of kings believing in empty words.

This can be put into everyday life. If your boss told you he'll give you a promotion or a raise- you must not believe it.

You must think "if they wanted to give me a raise why wait?" chances are they are using you for something and will get rid of you after they get it.

Do not trust what people say.

Faces lie , words lie - actions do not.

2. Life is hard

The earlier you realize this the better your life.

It is not good to take in every negative moment but you must take in what will happen if bad things occur.

If you want to be extra pragmatic - expect the worse case scenario.

Winners in life are those that never just expected things to go smoothly.

That is a losers mindset.

A winner must be able to take in account on "what could the worse that can happen?" and plan to prevent and mitigate if it ever happens.

Even if life is all giddy and hoops - you must remember to be on guard and pragmatic.

Not something too be too stiff - but something that you should always think ahead of whatever than can happen.

The longer you plan and think into the future - the better your plans go.

3. Willpower is everything

In life the strongest thing you can cultivate is willpower.

You must endure in the face of hardships and hell.

You must crawl your way from the bottom to the top.

People will use you and you will get disheartened.

But with having strong willpower - you never lose and never give up.

Life is dictated by those who have strong will and soul.

Every strong person you see have iron will.

They have strong conviction and will not falter easily.

If you ever wish to succeed in life - you will crawl through mud and spikes and you must have the willpower to push through pain.

4. Luck matters

Everyone who says luck does not matter overestimates themselves and underestimates life.

In order to increase your luck - you must be always thinking you are a lucky person.

What you think affects your life.

Because through the mind we see our individual lives differently.

Twins with the same body and face can see life very differently.

Because everyone's experiences is unique.

Nobody has the same experience as you as everyone does not have the mind that you do.

And therefore those - who think they are lucky are incredibly lucky - because in their eyes luck happens everywhere.

5. The world works in principles

There are hidden laws and rules in the world.

They are not legal laws - but one you can feel and articulate as your consciousness shift to higher levels.

As you meditate - you start to see the world clearly and think differently.

You start to wonder why everyone gets so agitated by a single social media post and get infuriated with it for weeks.

You start to wonder why most people stay stuck when the answer is very clear to you.

I myself have understood how the world works.

One principle that is will aways be true is this: "Life favors the bold"

Confident people are always given opportunties the timid cannot get

The timid is unworthy and will likely fail because of fear.

But the confident will not and that is why they are given the opportunity.

The timid only gets what the confident gets once they break out of their shell.

6. You can die today and be forgotten after a week

The only people that will truly care for you is your family.

No matter what you do unless you a celebrity or a superstar - people do not care about you.

You can roll over the mall and go back there the next day and no one will remember it was you.

Heck they won't even care.

Because why would they?

They don't even know you.

And this right here plagues a lot of people.

So much opportunities only to be wasted.

7. Potential is useless unless used

Everyone has certain skills and talents they posses.

But very few get to work and hone them.

Potential is useless if it's never used.

You can be the greatest potential man but it's all in vain if you never even used a fraction of your potential.

This is why gifted kids suffer after they grow up.

Things were easy on them and they didn't have to put enough effort only to hit a plateau and quit because they don't understand why they are unable to make progress.

Don't be the potential man and be the man.

That's about it.

I've decided to make a short one today as the last 3 letters were 2-2.5k words long.

I have so many more ideas to write about.

Look forward to them.

I can also write about human nature if you want.

Let me know

See you next week
