What You Need To Understand About The Internet

Why is everything a rage bait now?

If you've noticed your mind becoming worse and worse as years go by—chances are you are suffering from hyper connectivity.

Being connected to the internet is a double edge sword.

This is why people who wake up and grab their phone to scroll after waking up suffer.

The first hour of your day dictates how you will feel, act and behave until you sleep.

Your mind isn't supposed to take large amounts of information within seconds and minutes.

1 minute scrolling session will make your mind overload with useless information.

And the videos you watch are fast paced and completely unrelated. This makes your brain fried and attention span shit.

If you struggle with focus—you are using the internet too much.

In this letter I'll explain how you should use the internet instead.

Let's start—

Social Media Makes People Depressed Because It Constantly Reminds You Of What You Can't Get

"The internet has made us connected but at the cost of making us more delusional and destructive"

When you see a friend doing better than you—your brain will compare even if you don't want to.

You cannot avoid this kind of comparison. We evolve to constantly compare our strength and weaknesses to survive.

Your ancestors were always improving—because they had to. They had to learn their weak points are or they'll get ravaged by the enemy tribe.

The reason you open social media and you feel shit—it's because you see the things you want from other people who have it and you don't.

You'll feel worthless and useless. This leads to a massive rut of self-loathing if you allow it to happen non-stop.

This is why it's so addicting but destructive at the same time.

You get to hope what it would be like to get what you want in life—but feel bad later because you know you don't have it.

This also why women are so insecure nowadays and can't get off social media. They constantly see someone more sexier, beautiful and cuter than themselves.

This makes them extra insecure and destructive.

The same goes to men—you will always see a man hotter, sexier and more attractive than you hanging out with girls in a yacht.

Social media is full of curated lies. Only the highlights are being posted because everybody wants the high's never the lows.

1) You And I Aren't Immune

Whatever we consume and put in our minds we will spit out.

That's why people who consume romance non-stop can't stop thinking about how they can't get a girlfriend or boyfriend.

I have a friend who is addicted to romance and he has become delusional how women operate. He does not understand that women are manipulative and ruthless creatures.

He thinks they are innocent and can always be trusted. I don't want you to become the same.

This is why people who like to gossip and talk about other people's downfall keep getting worse and worse as they get older because of the content they consume.

For an experiment I tried watching a drama and beef between 2 Youtubers—the results is painful.

I couldn't help but get disgusted at how people are behaving. The comment section is even worse.

Humanity in itself has always suffered because most people are idiots.

People who talk down and attack other people and create beef while looking depressed and profiting the drama they created from seems to be common.

This is not even the end. There are creators who create lies just to destroy someone else lives.

Stick to people who educate and are honest instead. This is what we do with The Improvement Letter.

2) Broken Mental Health

Let's be honest. The internet has made a lot of people depressed and mentally ill more than any normal diseases there are.

And that's because the internet has no boundaries. There is nothing that cannot be shared. There is no privacy.

Once uploaded online—it will stay there forever until someone breaks the internet.

We are so used to having social media—that if the internet were to break for a day—a lot of people will become frantic and emotionally wreck havoc.

I clearly remember how years ago YouTube broke down and people were screaming about it in Twitter.

I saw multiple articles being posted online within minutes.

The internet is a double edged sword. You are lucky if you have come across my newsletter or similar self-help content.

The internet is full of outrage because of anonymity. We can post about someone full of hate and lies—f*ck up their life and get away with it.

Nobody has real accountability anymore because the internet has allowed us to be hyperconnected and know a lot while never understanding any of it.

Did you even know the reason why the internet was made? Well apparently one major reason is to spread p*rn.

The ability to post sexual acts online have motivated people to create something that can be freely distributed. 50 years ago porn could only come from nude Magazines (Playboy) now we have text, audio and even video. F*ck there's even live events out there. You have to understand the internet isn't so innocent.

If you struggle with porn addiction understand it's because it was made to be addicted. Get Live Intentionally a 90-Day self-improvement program by Harsh Strongman. I've specifically used the tactics described in the e-book in the past to help me work 12 hours everyday. it has 10k sales and over 400+ 5 star ratings. I will never stop promoting this product because of how good it is and delivers on its promised results.

"The ability to use and control internet for its intended use is a skill many lack. Because most people only go to the internet to entertain themselves but never learn. The greatest and biggest library in the world right now is present—and that's the internet"

You need to curate what you see if you want to stay mentally healthy.

And I'll teach you all how to do that today.

How to use the internet the right way

Using the internet purely for entertainment is wrong.

1) Learn

It's tragic I even have to make a letter about this but I'll teach you since I've been using it to improve my mind.

There are various ways you can learn.

Let's say you like visuals. By visuals you will be able to learn faster from a visual book or via videos.

This can also entail about video courses.

For the minority of people who haven't got their attention span fried—there is great pleasure from reading books.

It has come to my mind those who have a more active imagination tend to love text and words. That's because—with words you are free to imagine whatever character, how they sound, what they look like and what their personalities would be like.

There are 3 sources I recommend learning from:

  • YouTube videos- By far the best social media there is. You just have to be aware of what you're watching. There are hundreds and even thousands of free courses being uploaded to YouTube. I started my self-improvement journey because I watched one—just one video about self-improvement. I've never looked back since then. What I recommend is—if you struggle with doom scrolling or overstimulation turning off history. When you turn off history in YouTube there is no recommendation. Now everything you watch will have to be intentional. You will have to search for it specifically. As a rule of thumb: Avoid drama, gossips, useless vlogs and rage bait content. Go watch documentaries, educational content and mini courses instead. Doesn't matter if you're going to use them or not. Just train your mind to get back on watching long form videos because people's attention span is getting lower and lower every year. I say it's the best because its mainly composed of long videos.

  • Newsletters- If I haven't told you yet I like reading Dan Koe's content. I started with watching videos to learn but over time I've nudged to reading text instead. Reading is one dimensional. It's you and just the text. This is why if you know someone who reads keeps getting better and better at life in a way you can't explain. That's—because reading is one of the best ways to learn. There is no editing distractions or any unnecessary stuff. It's just you and the text. If you struggle with reading books it's a sign your attention span is f*cked and you're overstimulated.

  • Articles- Although most articles are click-bait—if you search deeply in the web there are a lot of good articles to read from. Mainly research and reviews.

2) Online Courses

You might have rolled your eyes just now but understand the fact that not everyone who is trying to sell online is a scammer.

The only reason people like to call online creators a scammer is because they hate it how that person is making money online while they stay jobless and broke.

Mot broke people are envious. They like seeing other people fail and beg as they become hopeless. And that's what the majority of people who like to call online creators a scammer wants the creator to become.

They want them to fail because they themselves are a failure and—if they have failed in life—you too should fail. That's their mentality.

The reason I was able to improve my writing from shitty to good in 2 years is because I bought a writing course.

It took me 2 months to fully apply them and the results are clearly different.

Here's a work of mine in the past: https://notablenomad.substack.com/p/being-nice-is-not-being-kind see the difference? Courses aren't a scam.

It's people who don't apply the courses properly is a scam. Anyone can get the results in a course if they are willing to practice and make an effort for it. But most people won't—because most people are conformists who want instant results.

3) Learn to Use AI: LMM's are tools

Ai is one of the greatest equalizers in the modern technology.

There is without a doubt AI will continue to get larger and larger. It can operate, think and execute tasks like a human.

And the best of all—it can work 24/7. Which is exactly the perfect fantasy companies want in a fast paced world.

I am pro AI. I use it all every time if I have to learn something I don't get. I just don't use it when I write—you can tell since some of my letters have typos.

And I'm not just talking about ChatGPT text input and output focused AI.

I'm also mentioning video, image and voice creation AI.

Back then—you had to spend hours to dig hundreds and thousands of articles to find a very specific study.

Now you can just use ChatGPT to search the web for it. SEO is dying because people are using AI to get answers instead of searching it in Goggle. Whatever saves time will make money.

The only method I will not support using AI is using it as emotional support.

All LMM (Large Learning Model) are robotic and work based on pattern recognition and data.

It cannot reason even though it can think. It can only mimic and copy what it thinks is an appropriate answer from a prompt given by the user.

So using it as emotional support is useless. And I won't lie many people are even using it as their girlfriend and boyfriend.

It's honestly disgusting and sad at the same time. We are living at the age of abundance where anyone can have infinite learning experience yet people are using it to fill their loneliness.

This is just sad

I'm not lying

And that's something many people will do as AI advances.

Before it's too late and you become one this people—get Live Intentionally. This product have saved so many lives from depression and potentially from taking their own life.

I don't want you to end up like this guy—looking at how many of you struggle with loneliness because many of you have answered my survey.

Before you get consumed by this madness—save yourself.

Male loneliness is sky high

You already know this guy and the guy above using AI as his girlfriend suffers from loneliness.

That's all for this week.

See you next time
